Moving To A New Host!
I'll soon bid adieu to Blogger.
A new version of The Small Wave is up on a new host, and I'm playing with it a bit to make sure I like it.
Within a few days it should be set to go, at which time I'll pull the trigger on my domain (thesmallwave.com) to point there.
I'll also point FeedBurner to it, so my belief is that no one will need to resubscribe.
Articles from this site will not initially be on the new site. Rather, the new site has an "Early Archives" page that references the monthly archives here. I may move these articles over eventually, but I'm more concerned with getting the new site up, hosted, forwarded, and feeded (hey look, I just invented a word!) before worrying about previous content that will remain safe, is not going anywhere, and is easily linked to.
When everything is complete I'll post here pointing to the new site. My understanding is that there may be 1-2 days where the domain is in "limbo" waiting to point to the new site. With Blogger I didn't have to worry about any of this stuff, so please bear with me if I screw it up.
With all this work, from here on out it should be smooth sailing. Naturally, I predict stormy seas...

so you are moving away from Blogger?
Yep.
I started with Blogger because it was free, and easy to get started. It's been great, but I like this "blogging" thing enough to figure I'll do it for a while.
I had to tinker quite a bit with the HTML in Blogger and, frankly, I don't want to do that.
Now it may be that my template is why Safari won't work, so I'd have to work on it some more. But I don't want to code HTML, I just want to write.
Blogger also limits what you can do with pictures. Most of the time no big deal but in doing my iMovie review that limitation was an issue for me.
So I'm moving.
